The Casio quartz work with a button cell. Two particularities deserve attention:

Can you change the battery of a Casio yourself?
On a Casio, the operation is more technical than it seems:
- Resetting the module. After a battery replacement, many Casio The digital and G-Shock must be reset (“AC” procedure, clear everything) for the display and functions to restart correctly.
- The screwed bottom and thewater resistance. G-Shock and sport models have a bottom held by screws and a gasket, with a water resistance up to 200 m. The battery is often held under a metal plate: clumsy handling can create a short circuit or compromise thewater resistance.
