Edifice Collection - ECB-2000DC-1AEF - Casio Watch

With the ECB-2000DC-1AEF, named SOSPENSIONE, Casio presents the first men's Edifice with a carbon fibre reinforced resin case. Inspired by automotive suspension, this 51 × 47.8 mm case, 10.8 mm thick, is built on a four-arm lug architecture, combined with steel and grey ion plating. The black dial combines hands and a digital display in a resolutely racing spirit.

The grey ion-plated steel bracelet fastens with a triple deployant clasp. Charged by light thanks to Tough Solar, it connects via Bluetooth to the CASIO WATCHES app for automatic time setting, world time across 300 cities and transfer of timed results; it also offers a stopwatch to 1/100th of a second, a countdown timer, 5 alarms and Super Illuminator lighting. Water-resistant to 100 metres, it can be worn for swimming.

FAQ - Everything you need to know about our watches

How do I choose the right watch size?

A watch's size is mainly determined by the diameter of its case, measured in millimetres. Cases of 28 to 34 mm suit slender wrists, 34 to 38 mm suit medium wrists, and anything over 40 mm suits larger wrists. The strap or bracelet can usually be adjusted by a jeweller to fit your wrist perfectly.

What do the water resistance ratings (3 ATM, 5 ATM, 10 ATM) mean?

Water resistance indicates how well your watch stands up to water. As a guide, 3 ATM withstands everyday splashes but not the shower, 5 ATM lets you wash your hands and go out in the rain without worry, 10 ATM is suitable for surface swimming, and from 20 ATM upwards diving becomes possible. Always check the product page for the exact water resistance of your model.

How long does a watch battery last?

For a quartz watch, a battery generally lasts between 2 and 3 years, depending on the movement and how the watch is used. When the battery runs low, the second hand may jump forward several seconds at a time: a sign that it is time to replace it. Automatic watches, on the other hand, have no battery and are powered by the movement of your wrist.

How can I get my watch battery replaced?

Simply bring your watch to our Azuline jewellery shop in Allonne, near Beauvais. Our watchmakers replace the battery on site and carry out a water resistance test after reassembly to ensure the seal remains intact. We advise against having your watch opened by a non-specialist, as this may compromise its water resistance.

Do your watches come with a guarantee?

Yes, all our watches come with a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee covering defects in the movement and manufacturing. The guarantee does not cover the battery, the glass, or damage resulting from misuse, impacts or normal wear and tear. Please keep your invoice safe, as it serves as your proof of guarantee.

Can the strap be adjusted or replaced?

Yes, most of our straps and bracelets can be adjusted to fit your wrist, whether by removing links from a metal bracelet or punching an extra hole in a leather strap at the right length. This service is free of charge when you purchase from our Azuline jewellery shop. The strap can also be replaced with another compatible model, depending on the lug width.

How should I care for my watch day to day?

Wipe the case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged contact with perfume, cosmetics, chemicals and salt water, which can damage the finish. A metal bracelet can be cleaned occasionally with warm soapy water, provided everything is dried thoroughly. Take your watch off before intense exercise or going to sleep to help it last longer.

What should I do if my watch stops or runs slow?

If your watch stops suddenly, the cause is most often a flat battery in a quartz model, or a lack of wear in an automatic model. If it consistently gains or loses several minutes a day, the movement may need servicing. In any case, visit an Azuline jewellery shop or use our online after-sales repair tracking service to have your watch diagnosed.

Is a watch a good gift?

Yes, a watch remains a timeless gift, appreciated for a birthday, Mother's Day or Father's Day, a graduation or any special occasion. Presented in its original box, it carries real symbolic value. If needed, the strap can be adjusted free of charge, and exchanges are possible within 30 days under our returns policy.

What is the difference between a quartz watch and an automatic watch?

A quartz watch is powered by a battery and offers great accuracy with very little maintenance. An automatic watch, also known as a mechanical watch, is wound by the movement of your wrist and needs no battery, but requires periodic servicing roughly every 4 to 5 years. The choice depends on how you will wear it and your appreciation of traditional watchmaking.
